Rates and Conditions

This page holds the essential information that decides whether you hire me. I suggest you also visit my frequently asked questions page (FAQ) that will make some points clearer.

I have conditions as quite simply this is my business and it is treated as a business. The major point is confirming placement dates by either e-mail or letter. Please see my FAQ page.

Transportation costs are involved. A kilometre rate charged on an agreed distance from my point A to your point B is payable. You only pay one way. I think I am Australia's only truly itinerant pharmacist so my home is where I am working. My kilometre rate is higher than the tax rate but you get me for a longer period than most locums so you reap the benefit..

I also need serviced accommodation. This may either be a serviced apartment, or perhaps you are going on holidays and want me to house sit as well. For those who frequently check my page please note that I now travel alone. My old bluey has been put down and my other old dog is now in retirement

I am able to do all that normally occurs in your business (staff meetings, nursing homes, dispensing etc.). A fee will be negotiated in advance if you wish me to upgrade software or computers, install medication systems in nursing homes or consult on areas of your business you wish to improve, using my own experience plus large amount of knowledge on how others do it.

I can be paid either as a contractor or as a salaried casual pharmacist. I like to state that upfront so you know my total cost also covers superannuation, workers compensation etc

You see my minumum hourly rate listed below. I always have to choose between several contracts. I do not mind where I go so long as I think it will be interesting. Those able to offer a higher rate, type of accommodation etc will be looked at closely (after all, this is my business)

Minimum Hourly Rate: $39.50 plus super (minimum 45hr week - negotiable)

Accommodation: serviced (i.e. furniture etc)

Transportation: 70cents per km on a pre agreed route (may be negotiable in certain circumstances)
